1Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Meri Paathshaala website or app, creating an account, making a payment, or using any feature of the platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are registering on behalf of an educational institution, you represent that you have the legal authority to bind that institution to these Terms.

2Eligibility & Registration

To use Meri Paathshaala, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age, or have consent of a parent/guardian if under 18
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorised access to your account

We reserve the right to refuse registration or suspend accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.

3Services Provided

Meri Paathshaala provides a cloud-based institute management platform including but not limited to:

• Multi-level admin and staff management with role-based access
• Teacher attendance, timetable management, and auto salary calculation
• Student fee collection, receipt generation, and payment tracking
• Gate management app with face recognition and entry/exit logging
• Hostel management with digital roll call and missing student alerts
• Dual-mode class attendance (face recognition and manual)
• Student performance dashboard with class comparison analytics
• Live classes, recorded lessons, study material, and homework delivery
• Tests, practice papers, and auto-generated result analysis
• Parent-teacher communication and broadcast messaging
• Student leave request and teacher approval workflow
• Double-layer data backup and full data export

Features may be updated, added, or modified. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

4Payments via Razorpay

By making a payment through our platform, you agree to:

• Razorpay's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
• That the payment amount displayed at checkout is accurate and you authorise the charge
• That transaction records are maintained by Razorpay and accessible via your payment confirmation

Accepted payment methods include: UPI, Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, and supported digital wallets. Availability may vary.

5Subscription & Billing

• Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at the time of purchase
• Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise
• Auto-renewal applies unless cancelled before the renewal date
• We will send a reminder before any renewal charge is applied
• Price changes take effect only after 30 days' written notice to existing subscribers

6Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

Key points:

• Annual plans: Full refund if cancelled within 7 days of purchase
• Monthly plans: No refund for the current active billing period
• Student fee refunds are subject to institute approval
• Refunds are processed to the original payment source within 5–7 working days

7User Responsibilities

All users of the platform are responsible for:

• Maintaining confidentiality of login credentials and not sharing accounts
• Ensuring all data entered (student records, contact details) is accurate
• Using the platform only for lawful educational and administrative purposes
• Ensuring student and parent data is collected with appropriate consent
• Complying with all applicable laws, including data protection and education regulations in India

8Prohibited Activities

You must not use the platform to:

• Upload or distribute malicious software, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems
• Harvest, scrape, or misuse data of other users
• Impersonate another person, institute, or official
• Use automated tools to access or interact with the platform without permission
• Violate any applicable Indian or international law
• Engage in any activity that disrupts or impairs platform performance

Violations may result in immediate account suspension without refund.

9Intellectual Property

All intellectual property in the Meri Paathshaala platform — including software, design, UI, branding, logos, and content created by us — is exclusively owned by Meri Paathshaala or its licensors.

You retain full ownership of data you input (student records, content, communications). By using the platform, you grant us a limited licence to process this data solely to deliver the services.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without prior written consent.

10Data & Privacy

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

Key commitments:

• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest using AES-256 encryption
• Every data entry is backed up in two separate systems simultaneously
• Role-based access ensures each user sees only what they are authorised to see
• We do not sell user data to any third party
• All data is downloadable and exportable by the institute admin at any time

11Disclaimer of Warranties

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available." While we strive for 99.9% uptime, we do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure at all times.

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

12Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meri Paathshaala shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, profits, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the platform.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the total fees paid by you in the three months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

13Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with 30 days' written notice. We may terminate immediately if you:

• Materially breach these Terms
• Fail to pay fees after reasonable notice
• Engage in prohibited activities as described in Section 8

Upon termination, your access is revoked. Your data is retained for 90 days for export purposes, then permanently deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

14Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.

Both parties agree to first attempt good-faith resolution of any dispute before initiating legal proceedings. Please contact us at support@meripaathshaala.com to raise a dispute.

15Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
